DeliveryHow much is delivery?
We can deliver to most areas in the UK mainland plus Northern Ireland. Please see the additional information below that details any restrictions to this.
Small
The best things come in small packages so for all our small home accessories, such as mirrors, soft furnishings, art and lighting , we only charge a small delivery fee of £9. Delivered to your doorstep by courier.
Medium
For mid-size items, such as our footstools, storage units, pet beds, and exclusive Jack collection, we charge a small-ish delivery fee of £50. Once your order has been meticulously handcrafted, we will arrange for it to be carefully delivered to your door, then unpacked and assembled in the room of your choice, leaving it looking irresistibly luxurious.
Large
For all our handmade-to-order sofa, bed, armchair and dining designs our delivery fee is £119. Once your order has been meticulously handcrafted, we will arrange for it to be carefully delivered to your door, then unpacked and assembled in the room of your choice, leaving it looking irresistibly luxurious.
We also offer delivery to the Republic of Ireland. Please click here for prices and more information.
At this time, we unfortunately, do not deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Scilly, Isle of Man, Kirkwall, Isle of Skye, any other Isles across Scotland, Shetland & Orkney Islands, and any Isles across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. We also currently do not deliver to Europe or to any international countries.
However, we will happily arrange for your items to be delivered to a nominated UK port for you to organise your own onwards shipping and delivery. To arrange delivery to a nominated UK port, please get in touch with our friendly Customer Service team, who will be able to place your order and go through the full process with you. The cost of delivery to your UK port of choice will be in line with the above delivery charges, depending on what you are ordering and where your port of choice is located.

We will improve this article.How will I find out about my delivery date?Within 10 days of placing your order, you will receive an email which will require confirmation within 48 hours. You may also receive a call from our delivery support team. If we do not receive your confirmation, please be aware your order will not be manufactured, meaning we won’t be able to fulfill your order within the original lead time.
You will hear directly from our trusted delivery partner, Wincanton, in the coming weeks to confirm your exact delivery date. Below details what you will receive from our delivery partner:
For UK mainland deliveries, please see below:
- You will receive an email and SMS asking you to select a delivery date through their secure online portal. We ask that you ensure you do this within 72 hours of receipt. You may also receive a phone call from them asking for a date to be selected
- Once you have selected a date you will receive confirmation via email and SMS. You will also receive a reminder 7 days before the agreed date
- 2 days before your agreed delivery date you will receive confirmation of the 2-hour arrival time slot
- The day before your delivery, you will receive an email reminder and some information on how best to prepare for your delivery
- On the day of your delivery, you will receive an introductory call, by 10am, to confirm your delivery is on schedule. You will be contacted again by SMS around 30 minutes advising you of the team’s imminent arrival, and the delivery team will also call to advise they’re on their way

We will improve this article.How should I prepare for my delivery and what should I expect?In preparation of your delivery, we kindly ask that you ensure clear access to the relevant room(s). This includes all hallways and stairs, all floors, both wooden and carpet, are protected/covered prior to us entering, and all precious and or breakable items are removed. We also request that children and pets are out of the way. Please note, the person accepting delivery must be at least 18 years old.
For delivery of our medium and large items, our trusted delivery partner will carefully deliver it to your door, then unpack, assemble in the room of your choice, and leave it looking irresistibly luxurious. They will also remove all packing and arrange for it to be recycled.
If you are expecting a breakdownable item, please note, the sofa will arrive complete, this is to avoid any pieces going missing. The delivery team will attempt the delivery without dismantling it first but will of course break it down if required.
Once your delivery has been completed you will be asked by the delivery drivers to sign to confirm everything is delivered as expected.

Please be aware that upon arrival at the delivery address, the drivers will assess if they can deliver the item(s), without damage to the item(s) itself or the property. If they believe this not to be case, they may ask you to sign a disclaimer for any damage caused before proceeding, or they may refuse to deliver if deemed to be out of the parameters of safety and manual handling risk.

If you make this change up to 7 days after placing your order, we will do so for no fee. Any changes to your order after 7 days will incur a 10% fee and reset of the delivery lead time, if applicable.
If you have already confirmed a delivery slot to the previous delivery address you supplied, please get in touch with our helpful delivery support team who will be happy to support. Please note, our delivery partner will not be able to accommodate the same date you have previously agreed, so will have to reschedule it completely.

All deliveries are carried out by our friendly Irish delivery partner, WS Dennison who work alongside our UK delivery partner Wincanton. All communication regarding your delivery will be from Wincanton

For deliveries to the Republic of Ireland, for our handmade-to-order furniture, we offer a white glove delivery service to ROI where our Irish delivery partner will carefully deliver your specially handcrafted piece/s to your door, then unpack and assemble in the room of your choice, for a fee of €249. They will also remove all packing and arrange for it to be recycled.

Unfortunately, we do not deliver to any other country in Europe, however we will happily arrange for your items to be delivered to a nominated UK port for you to arrange your own onwards shipping and delivery. The cost of delivery to your UK port of choice will be in line with the medium and large delivery charges, depending on what you are ordering and where your port of choice is located.
Alternatively, you can arrange to pick up your items directly from our factory in Poland. You will need to arrange your own courier and cover all costs. If you would like to arrange this, please contact our friendly head office Customer Service Team who will go through the full process with you.

They are available in our showrooms and online (selected under 'payment methods' at checkout).
We offer up to 18 months 0% APR representative interest free credit (not available in ROI).
Our simple payment plan allows you to spread the cost of your purchase over 6, 12, or 18 months. All we require is a minimum spend of £300 and a deposit of 15%.
If you’re looking to pay a more comfortable amount each month over a longer period of time, we also offer a payment plan over 36 and 48 months at 9.9% APR representative. All we require is a minimum spend of £1,000 and a deposit of 15%.

If you wish to cancel your order, you can do so, up to 7 days after placing your order for no fee, no questions asked.
Any orders that are cancelled in full after 7 days will incur a 10% cancellation fee on the total value of your order.
If you would like to place a new order at the time of cancellation, we will waiver the 10% cancellation fee, where applicable, on the first cancellation only. Please be aware that any new order placed will be done so with a reset of the advertised lead time.

If you are unfortunate enough to spill something on your upholstered item, simply absorb any liquid with a dry cloth and call Guardsman on 0123 544 8844 who will send out their stain removal solution. If this doesn’t work and the stain is still visible, a member of their friendly team will come out to you, free of charge, to tackle the stain themselves. If it’s really persistent and their team member is unable to remove the stain, Guardsman will then work with sofa.com to source replacement covers or parts for your sofa.
Guardsman also offers protection for lovers of leather. Their Guardsman Leather Warranty offers protection against spills and accidental damage to your furniture, ensuring your leather looks lovely for many years to come.- Footstools and Armchairs - £45

We certainly do! We know how hard it can be when choosing a new piece of furniture for your home, and a big part of that is getting the right fabric in the right colour to complement your room and style…don't worry we've got it covered.
Pop into one of our showrooms, where you can see many of the fabric options available upholstered on our sumptuous collection and select from the free swatches we have instore to take home.
We have all of the swatch samples available on our website. We’ve put together some curated looks from our range, inspired by some of this season’s top trends. Choose your favourite for a pre-filled samples pack tailored to that look! Or just select the 6 you are interested in, let us know your name and where you want them delivered and our dedicated swatch teams will get these sent out to you pronto!
Your swatches will be posted by Royal Mail. We will get your swatches sent out to you as soon as possible, however, please be aware that currently Royal Mail are taking slightly longer than normal to deliver them.

With over 100 fabrics to chose from we completely understand it can all feel a little overwhelming, but please do not fear we are here to help! We don’t want there to be any reason why you can’t have your dream sofa, so we’ve made sure that your favourite sofa styles are available as ‘breakdownables’. This means that if you have restricted access to your home, tight doorways, live on a high floor or only have access via a small lift, then there’s no need to worry. These sofa's breakdown into 4 pieces, arms (2), base and back. Also your sofa back cushions (if applicable) and chosen legs will already be separate.

Our Hypoallergenic pads use Quallofil fibre instead of feather. Please be aware that these will be quite a lot firmer than our standard pads and there is an additional charge of:

This is to give you an idea of how fabrics look once upholstered and gives you the opportunity to comfort test them...which is always the best bit!
Whilst some of our locations are slightly smaller than others, we always try to offer a broad selection to give you a flavour. Our knowledgeable showroom teams are always on hand to guide you through the options and can help narrow down your selection.

Send feedbackThanks for the feedback. We will improve this article.How do I care for my sofa?Cushions - When your new sofa arrives, you’re going to want to test them out straight away. When you first sit down, you may find that the seat and back cushions look and feel firmer than you were expecting. Don’t worry, this is perfectly normal and they will settle down after a little while. If you wish to speed up the process, give them a good plumping to redistribute the feathers and turn them over every so often to soften.
Legs - Use a damp cloth rinsed in warm water to clean the wooden legs of your sofa. Do not use detergent on them, but you may wish to polish them occasionally with a natural wax.
Environment - There’s something very relaxing about sitting in your sofa soaking up the sun rays that come through the window, however, your sofa may not be such a fan! If your sofa is exposed to sunlight for a long period of time, for example in a conservatory or in a sunny bay window, the colour of your fabric may fade and deteriorate. Keeping your furniture against a radiator may also have the same effect, so please allow for a bit of space between the two
Spillages - If you are unfortunate enough to spill something on your upholstered item, and you have taken out Guardsman Fabric Protection, simply absorb any liquid with a dry cloth and call Guardsman on 0123 544 8844 who will send out their stain removal solution. It is really important you do not use a wet cloth or rub the fabric.
Fabric Choice - Every fabric in our collection has its own unique qualities and composition. Please refer to the sewn in label for specific guidelines on how to care for your specific fabric. This label can usually be found underneath your seat cushion or on the underside of the sofa, if your seat cushion is fixed. For pre-purchase information on fabric care, you will find everything you need to know listed on each fabric on our ‘Free Samples’ page on our website.
Fixed covers - If your sofa has a fixed cover, it’s rather simple to keep it looking great. Regular cleaning with a brush, or even a light vacuum, will keep it looking fresh and dust-free. If you accidentally spill something on your sofa, do not panic. Immediately blot it with a clean, dry cloth, making sure you do not rub it in or use abrasive cleaners as this will likely make the stain worse. If you have our Guardsman Fabric Protection, call them on 0123 544 8844 and they will be happy to help save your sofa!
Fitting removable covers - Our removable covers are attached to the frame with some very cleverly positioned pieces of Velcro. They are designed to fit perfectly over the frame, so when you’re putting them back in place ensure they are pulled taught evenly in both directions. If you need further instructions, or are having difficulty re-dressing your sofa, please contact our friendly customer care team who will happily advise you through the process
Washing your covers - If you have removable covers and you wish to wash them, try and wash all of the covers at the same time, this will avoid any colour variation if washed separately. However, also be careful not to overload the drum, which can sometimes cause damage to your sofa covers. If in doubt, take them to be professionally cleaned. We have included wash care guides for each of our fabrics on our ‘Free Samples’ page, for best results, please refer to this information before washing your covers.

We will improve this article.I have a problem with my new item, what should I do?All of our items are lovingly handmade to order and we take pride in ensuring your beautiful new sofa or bed arrives in perfect condition. On the rare occasion where this doesn't happen we always strive to resolve the issue efficiently.
We have a company who works alongside us called Emmiera who will come to your home and assess the issue. If they can fix it there and then, they will. If this is not possible they will update us so we can decide on what further action needs to be done to resolve the problem for you.
If you do need to report an issue to us, please provide us with as much information as possible and if you can include some images, that will really assist us in helping resolve this promptly for you.

Returns & ExchangesAm I able to exchange my order?
We’re sure you’ll absolutely love your new item, but if you are not 100% happy with your purchase we will be happy to provide a refund or exchange. You will need to contact us within 14 days of your delivery date, so we can process a refund or exchange for you. We simply require that your item is returned in the same condition it was as when it was delivered.
For times when your item isn’t quite perfect and another design from our sumptuous collection has caught your eye, we will happily exchange your order with no additional delivery costs. Easy!
Our standard restocking fee will apply, which will be £50 or 10% of the item being returned, whichever is the greater value. This will be deducted when your exchange order is processed, and any outstanding balance will need to be settled before we can deliver your new order. Please note, the original delivery fee will not be recompensated.

We will improve this article.How long will I have to wait for a refund?If you are returning a item to us for a full refund, we will arrange a convenient time with you for our delivery team to pick it up. Once we have received confirmation that the item is safely back in our warehouse we will arrange for the refund to be processed for you.
Please be aware that our warehouse team do look over all items when returned and will look to recoup any value for damages or markings.
